Principal's Letter to Seniors
Principal's Update - May 11, 2012
Be The Change is a leadership program affiliated with the Associated Student Body (ASB) of Palos Verdes High School. BTC officers will work as student leaders on campus to promote positive change, a continued safe environment and a culture of acceptance and celebration on campus. The goal of BTC is to create student activities that live the message of Challenge Day. BTC and ASB will collaborate on events and work as a unit for promoting positive leadership at PVHS during the year. Students will be part of the 2nd period Leadership Class and will receive leadership credit on their transcript. The class will be taught by Mrs. Stapleton and Mrs. Huber. Download Application PDF

Stanford Jazz Residency - Two very talented PVHS guitar players, Noah Pacifici and Aris Kare, have won a DownBeat Student Music Award for Latin Jazz and and invitations to participate in the Stanford Jazz Residency this Summer. See the Downbeat Magazine announcement...

Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement
Yesterday, six Environmental Science AP students attended a private luncheon hosted for the Laureates of the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement. While there, they dined with members of the executive committee, previous Laureates, as well as professors and deans from several universities and research institutions. "The Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement is the premier award for environmental science, environmental health and energy conferring great benefit upon mankind." After the luncheon they attended lectures by the 2012 laureates, John H. Seinfeld from California Institute of Technology and Kirk R. Smith from University of California, Berkeley. This was the third year Palos Verdes High School was invited to attend the event. Mrs. Meoller teaches Environmental Science at PVHS.
