PVPUSD Guidelines

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, in compliance with California state law, has established minimum requirements for participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Students must have a 2.0 grade point average in all enrolled classes and cannot have more than one unsatisfactory (U) mark in citizenship. In addition, athletes must comply with eligibility requirements imposed by the California Interscholastic Federation (C.I.F.), Southern Section; C.I.F. requires that a student pass four classes.

The district has imposed a one quarter probationary period for students who are under a 2.0 grade point average or who have more than one unsatisfactory citizenship mark. During the probationary period, students retain their eligibility. Those who are on probation become ineligible if their next report card does not meet the above stated criteria.

Note: The C.I.F. rule carries no probationary period. Students who do not pass four classes are immediately ineligible.
